Havells 9 Fin Oil Filled Room Heater (OFR)

Worth buying

Based on my experience, the product has been working well as expected. I’m sharing both the pros and cons belowPros:1) Effectively heats a 12x10 room in ~20 minutes2) Does not cause dryness in nostrils3) Maintains room temperature for a longer duration4) Oil-fin heater design for steady heatingCons:1) High power consumption (2900W)2) Requires a 15-amp plug3) Occasionally shuts off due to inaccurate room temperature sensing

slow and steady heating

The Havells 11 Fin Oil-Filled Room Heater is a reliable choice for users seeking steady and comfortable room heating rather than instant warmth. Unlike blower heaters, this model warms the room gradually and distributes heat evenly, creating a consistent and pleasant indoor temperature over time. This makes it particularly suitable for prolonged use in bedrooms or living rooms during colder months. One of its key advantages is safety. As an oil-filled heater, it does not burn oxygen and does not produce carbon monoxide, eliminating the concerns commonly associated with blower or combustion-based heaters. This makes it a safer option for enclosed spaces and overnight use. However, users should note that this heater is not designed for instant heat. If quick, spot heating is a priority, a blower-type heater may be more appropriate. Overall, the Havells 11 Fin Oil-Filled Room Heater is well-suited for those who value uniform heating, silent operation, and enhanced safety over rapid heat output.

Cheated and sent a piece of expensive junk

New update (18th Jan) after almost a month (20th Dec) since the product was delivered. The ugly piece of expensive junk is still lying around my house using up valuable space. I bought this product for Delhi winters. Winter is almost over and my product is still not fixed. I am so disappointed and angry with Amazon and the Havells team. I was in touch with them since the beginning of this month and they have not yet fixed my heater.* The order was not delivered on time. It was delivered after the delivery date when I left for my vacation.* I got back from my vacation this morning and unboxed my heater as winter is at its peak.* the moment I opened the box, I realised it was a used and returned heater.* I still ignored and tried to use it. The heater is useless..it is as cold as stone and throwing just a little bit of warm air even after a couple of hours.* I contacted Amazon customer support as my return window had closed and explained to them that I was away for the entire duration even before delivery, but I was shocked at their indifferent attitude. I was even willing to share my journey tickets to reassure them I was indeed out of town since the delivery and hence did not know that I was given a big piece of junk for the money I spent.I am really very very disappointed on the below 3 counts.1) cheating, by sending a used product2) substandard quality by sending a defective product3) indifferent attitude by Amazon...I don't care attitude although I have been a very loyal customer with them over the past many years.I did not expect a favor from them for my loyalty... but a little bit of understanding to help a genuine customer who has been a bit unlucky with the timing of the delivery.Thanx to the above facts, I am now stuck with an expensive piece of ugly junk

Consuming too much power

Good

Good product

I bought this product for my parents who are in north india and thus exposed to chilling months of Dec-Feb. They have been using conventional heaters till now and were not sure if this expensive product is worth it or not. However, What I am hearing from them for the past one week since I sent it over - is all great. The room is getting a cosier feeling and it has changed their experience of living through this winter a lot easier. It takes a while to warm up but after that it starts to warm up the room really nicely. It is very easy to install and move around as it has wheels. The product is sleek and does not occupy much space too. I will write about its durability in the next winter. For now, i am glad i bought it for my parents. Thanks Havells

Excellent product for North Indian winters

We bought two of these heaters last winter, they were very efficient for heating up the rooms and keeping the warmth even at low thermostat setting. Well worth the extra cost compared to other brands. What I would have liked is a temperature control instead of just a dial for low to high heat control.

Excellent heater

Excellent heater. I purchased it on Dec 2025. It worked smoothly and i appreciate its quality.

No Support | Product Failed Within a Month | Do Not Buy

The Havells OFR heater failed to perform properly within one month of purchase. Earlier it worked well at low temperature settings, but now it only provides heating at the highest setting, consuming much more electricity. This completely defeats the purpose of buying an energy-efficient OFR heater. The after-sales support is extremely poor:No properly trained technician available for OFR heatersTechnicians visit just for formality and don’t resolve the issueComplaints are closed without customer consentOnly false assurances like “working on resolution, please wait”Despite being under warranty and new, there is no real solution or accountability.Overall, this has been a waste of money, time, and effort.I strongly do not recommend this product. There are much better options available in the market.
