ZEBRONICS HAV01 HDMI to VGA Adapter with Full HD 1080p

Great product

Good quality VGA adapter. Easy to connect and works as expected. The display is clear and stable, and I had no issues with installation. Compact and convenient to carry. Overall, a good product for the price. 👍

Works, but Quality and Reliability Need Improvement

I had to replace this adapter 2–3 times initially due to compatibility issues. After getting a working unit, it performed well and the display output was good. However, after about 5–6 months of normal use, the adapter started developing issues again, such as unstable display output and connection problems. If you need it for occasional use, it may be fine, but if you're looking for a reliable long-term solution, you might want to consider a better-quality adapter.

Don't buy

Received faulty convertor and there is no direct method for a refund or replacement. Am being asked to contact zebronics directly for support.

Less durable as I expected at-least 2 year of working life.

My use case - to connect my Dell laptop with VGA monitor as second/extended screen.I bought this item last October -2025 and it stopped working by first week of August 2026, i.e., around 10 months.Observations: Signal less reliable, heating issues, needed poking or cable adjustment for reliable view/display. Bought it for claim of 1 year warranty.Best - If you need very economical adapter and do not unplug & plug very frequently - keep it plugged forever to the VGA cable and only plug/unplug the HDMI end to the devices. My recommendation - if your laptop supports type C-USB, go for adapters which support VGA-USB Type C, as overall reliability compared to HDMI-VGA cable/adapter is far superior.HDMI to VGA Adapters - CompactProsUniversal Compatibility: Plugs into virtually any computer or laptop with a standard HDMI port.Frees USB Ports: Keeps all your laptop's USB/USB-C ports open for other accessories.ConsPower Constraints: HDMI 5V output provides very low power for active digital-to-analog conversion.High Failure Rate: Continuous heat buildup often causes chip degradation, glitching, or early hardware failure.Single-Purpose: Can only output video; provides no pass-through power or additional USB ports.USB-C to VGA Adapters - CompactProsStable Power: Draws adequate, reliable power directly from the USB bus.Low Thermal Load: Generates significantly less heat, leading to superior long-term durability.Native Video Support: Leverages DisplayPort Alternate Mode for efficient signal processing.Hub Multi-tasking: Easily integrated into multi-port hubs (supports pass-through charging and USB expansion).ConsPort Dependency: Requires a USB-C port that specifically supports video output (DP Alt Mode).Consumes USB-C Port: Ties up a high-speed port that could otherwise be used for charging or data storage.
